Access & Accessibility

WILLOW ISLAND

PictureWillow Island Map: William Bessai Saul (2023)
* Willow Island is accessed via a 45 second ferry ride from the shore of Wascana Lake, operated by the wonderful and dedicated ferry operators, Don and Brian.

* The ferry boat launches from the Wascana Observation Deck (MAP).

* Vehicle parking located about 50m down a paved path from the top of the Observation deck.

* Bicycle parking is available on mainland, near the observation deck.

* The ferry fits 12 people at a time and can accommodate mobility devices, strollers and large music gear.

* There is a set of approximately 15 stairs leading down to the ferry pick up point.

* An alternate, physically accessible ferry pick up location is available on the South shore of Wascana Lake (in front of the Legislature Building).

* If you would like to book an accessible pick up, its best to contact organizers in advance to confirm a time in advance - OR - ask volunteers at the door to arrange a South shore pick up.

THE CURE

* The Cure has a wheelchair friendly entrance, seating, parking and washrooms.

* Vehicle parking for the Cure is available on the street, or in the lot, to the East of the venue.

* For any questions or concerns about access or otherwise, please contact: [email protected]

Swamp Fest gratefully acknowledges the land on which we are privileged to share these experiences.Treaty 4 Territory is the traditional lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, Lakota, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. As a primarily settler-run festival, we acknowledge the original inhabitants of this land and strive to support our Indigenous neighbours through thoughtful action and collaboration.
